Israel Has to Learn Cheating From America
Dear editor:
In Newsweek’s Sept. 14th edition there is a headline pointing out “Why Leaders in Israel Are So Corrupt.” I think the explanation you offer completely misses the truth. It’s very simple.
Israel is a relatively young country at 60 and has not had the time or opportunity to build into the law the ability for government employees to have loop holes and excuses as used by United States Senators and Congressmen. No matter how much our representatives spend on so called (phony) “legal campaign expenses” they always have an explanation ready for the folks back home who are ready to buy any story offered. Money talks and our representatives know how to listen.
Give Israel a chance, they will learn from us how to cheat and not pay the penalty.
