More Not Serving Officials

Many also didn’t serve:
While Rick Perry is knocking Pres. Obama about not serving in the armed forces, I thought I might look at top present Republican current and past members of Congress:
Rep. Patrick McHenry, R-NC-did not serve, but endfangered American troops when visiting Iraq by violating serve:operational security.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-KY-did not serve.
Senate Asst. Minority Leader Trent Lott, R-MI-avoided draft and did not serve.
Senate Republican Conference Chairman, Jon Kyle, R-AZ-did not serve
Senate Republican Vice Chair John Cronyn, R-TX-did not serve
Nat’l Republican Senatorial Committee Chair, John Ensign, R-NV-did not serve
Speaker of the House John Boehner, R-OH-did not serve
House Minority Whip Roy Blunt, R-MO-did not serve
House Republican Conference chair Adam Putnam, R-FL-did not serve
House Republican Policy Committee Thaddeus McCotter, R-MI-Did not serve
Nat’l Republican Cong. Committee Chair Tom Cole, R-OK-did not serve

Other top Republicans who did not serve:Former NY mayor Rudy Giuliani-did not serve
Former Mass Governor Mitt Romney,-did not serve but served the Mormon Church on a 30 month mission
Former Senator Fred Thompson-did not serve
Former Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert-avoided the draft and did not serve
Former House Majority Leader Dick Armey-avoided the draft and did not serve
Former House Majority Leader Tom Delay-avoided the draft and did not serve
Former Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist-did not serve

And I’ll bet we could find the same thing on the Democratic side.

Old men are good at sending young men to die in wars.
