Reaction to Preident's Inauguration Speech

Dear Editor:

Isn't it a shame that so many people from the White House, the president's father and members of the Republican Party in Congress are having to "explain" what the president meant in his inauguration speech? Isn't it a shame that so many foreign countries and commentators just didn't "understand" what Bush meant? Isn't it a shame that we have a president whose words are so distrusted and measured by others? No wonder we are so disliked around the world.

Sam, for the most part, people do like Americans. We don't however understand the current Administration and the blatent disregard for human rights and environment. We also do not understand how a country founded on human rights and democracy seems to very much miss the point through two elections.
I like many, believe the world does need America, but we don't need/want America running the world. We all need a say.
