Who's "Cutting and Running?"

Dear Editor:

In your June 26th Periscope page you quote Karl Rove, speaking of Democrats, (including decorated war heroes John Murtha and John Kerry,) as saying, “They may be with you for the first shots, but they’re not going to be there for the last tough battles.” Amazing.

Here, a man, like almost everyone else in the administration, who has militarily never served his country or been to war, criticizes those who have served their country with honor, in battle, and have become decorated war heroes. The true “cut and run” cowards of the Republican Party (excluding veterans like John McCain) are great at unfounded accusations, who “cut” out of service, and “run” with fear of serving. They believe in sending others to be wounded or killed, while they languish in safety behind the White House fences.
